Matchbox

Last night we went to Matchbox for Dave's belated birthday dinner. Good thing Dave wanted to go out because I really did not feel like cooking after yet another bad day at work. Plus, I was starved because I didn't get lunch. Again.

I really like this Matchbox restaurant and given the amount of people waiting to be seated at the restaurant last night I'd say the rest of DC likes it too. I was first introduced to it 2 summers ago when I came to visit my best friend Sara Beth who was living here. My favorite dish is the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits. However, I was a little disappointed last night because they have majorly cut back their portions on this dish - only 3 shrimp. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it though. Next time I want to try their doughnuts and coffee for dessert {sans coffee}. The lady at the table next to me got it and it smelled so good.
