Sara Beth Comes to Visit!

My best friend Sara Beth came to visit last week. She is a school teacher in Utah and it was her spring break, so somehow I talked her into coming to DC/NoVA. She used to live here and she's a lot better at directions and navigation and organization than I am, so as it turned out she was my DC tour guide! I loved having her here and wish that we didn't live thousands of miles away from each other. That way we'd be able to spend more time together eating, shopping, eating, making baby shower treats, eating, walking around DC, eating, going to the zoo, eating, etc. If you didn't catch on from the previous sentence... we ate a lotta lotta. There were still some places I would have liked to try if only there were more room in my belly and more meals in a day. I guess SB will just have to come back sometime soon and we'll try them then!

Eastern Market:

Waiting in line for Breakfast at Eastern Market. This breakfast was DELICIOUS! Of course SB and I both love our specialty breakfast meats, so we couldn't really go wrong with that breakfast sandwich.

Capitol Hill: The Capitol

Botanical Gardens

We took pictures in this same exact spot when Jen and I came to visit SB a year and a half ago.

Cherry Blossom Festival (what was left of them) with the Jefferson memorial in the background

Pizza in Georgetown

Pizza and mini sliders at Matchbox

Wish I had a pic of our 2amy's pizza. SB is a pizza monster.

Walking from Chinatown to the National Gallery of Art. The weather did not totally cooperate. But what's a trip to DC without some rain? (In SB's case it rained most the days she was here)

Metro. I need a tan.

Willard's BBQ. This is a new favorite of mine. One weekend we ate here 2 times in less than 24 hours.

Dave pretending to be "Willard."

I like you hair blonde like that! I like Dave's hair and was wondering if I should comment on the pic with daves pants hiked up - I THOUGHT he was doing something funny but then thought - umm, what if maybe he was serious? I should have known better.
