A few weeks ago we bought a super cheap/fake Christmas tree from WalMart. I really wanted to be a
bah-hum-bug and go without a tree, but after we set it up I was really happy to have it! I like walking downstairs and seeing our tiny Christmas tree in the corner with all the lights on it.
On Friday we went to Dave's work Christmas party. It was really fun to get all dressed up and go out on the town. Actually, I guess it wasn't 'out on the town' because it was at a resort in Leesburg. Either way, it was a fun party complete with a mashed potato bar, a couple thousand dressed up men and women, live jazz, a heated tent outside to roast s'mores, lots of yummy hors d'oeuvres, photo booths, a free bar (lots of free Sprite for us!), and by the time we left some pretty tipsy people! It was a great way for me to celebrate being done with finals and to get in the mood for Christmas!
We took some pictures beforehand, but they're all pretty blurry because we kept forgetting we had set the shutter speed to very slow and we kept walking alway before the camera was done taking the picture.
I like how Dave looks in his skinny black tie with a little scruff! He's so handsome!
